About Me

Hello, my name is Ifza.

I am the founder of Blossoming Mind Therapy, where I offer integrative, trauma-informed counselling in a safe and supportive space.

My Story:

I am a British Pakistani therapist, a former young carer. This has shaped my understanding of the emotional, cultural, and practical pressures that many people carry, often quietly and over long periods of time.

I recognise how easy it can be to experience burnout when responsibilities accumulate and personal needs are placed to one side. My approach is informed by a sensitivity to boundaries, self-care, and the complexity of caring for others while trying to care for yourself.

I recognise the complexities of moving between cultures, values, and expectations across different countries.

While these experiences shape my perspective, I work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. You do not need to share my background or circumstances to feel welcome here.

At Blossoming Mind, therapy offers you a confidential hour where you are heard, supported, and given time that is solely for you, a space where you do not need to look after anyone else, and where your experiences are met without judgment.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and an registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field, supporting children, young people, and adults. I have worked across a range of settings, which has allowed me to develop a deep, compassionate understanding of the emotional challenges people can face at different stages of life.

My work is guided by strong professional values, ethics. prioritising confidentiality, boundaries, and client wellbeing and work in accordance with the BACP ethical framework.

I hold Levels 3, 4, and 5 in Counselling and Applied Psychology and have completed over 170 hours of supervised clinical practice. My training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) under Christopher Fairburn. I work integratively, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, and Gestalt approaches. My practice is trauma-informed, and I tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.

My work is guided by strong professional values, ethics. prioritising confidentiality, boundaries, and client wellbeing.

At the heart of my work is a genuine passion for helping others. I live by the belief that if I can make even a small difference in someone’s life, I am grateful to be part of that journey.
